Kothos typically appears in one of three guises.
As Kothos the Trader, he appears as a fat, balding merchant in rich silks of red and gold, surrounded by the scent of exotic spices and frequently accompanied by an entourage of silk clad retainers, all young, beatiful, and vaguely androgynous. His skin is golden and his smile is radiant.
As Kothos the Traveler, he appears as a slender man, wearing dust covered brown robes. He may or may not have a horse. If he is mounted, he will bear a short sword; if on foot, a staff. He carries a wine flask and a small knapsack; his belt purse is light but not empty. In his presence, conversation is easy, and old enemies forget their feuds.
As Kothos the Thief, he is a slender youth, clad in black leathers, with black hair and light brown skin. He will be carrying several weapons, although a single dagger will be the only one seen. His brown eyes reflect the humour of the Trader. At his touch, all locks spring open.
